I add ACV to my smoothies... along with drinking it in water. Why? It is an inexpensive way to kill bad bacteria in your gut, it will aide in type 2 diabetes by improving insulin, digestion sensitivity, makes you feel full, aids in heartburn, lowers blood pressure, improves hair and skin health, helps clean cancer cells, contains antioxidants, helps with high cholesterol, acts as a natural laxative, ...also high in magnesium..iron...phosphorus...amino acids..etc.
ACV is 3-calories per tablespoon. I get at least 2 tbsp. Per day -no need to overdo it! Alll those benefits are from fermented apples (organic of course).
